Jun 1, 2007 · In this paper, continuous production of hydrogen through fermentation with liquid swine manure as substrate was researched using a semi-continuously fed fermenter (8 L in total volume and 4 L in
Jun 12, 2023 · Adopting waste-to-wealth strategies and circular economy models can help reduce biowaste and add value. For instance, poultry farming is an essential source of protein, and chicken manure can be converted into renewable energy through anaerobic digestion. However, there are a number of restrictions that prevent the utilization of chicken manure in bioenergy production. Here, we review the
May 2, 2022 · Batch experiments were performed to evaluate the biohydrogen and biomethane production by co-digestion of chicken manure and food waste in a two-stage mesophilic fermentation process. Results showed that no hydrogen was produced in the first stage of sole chicken manure fermentation, while methane yield was 247.3 mL·g−1-VS. By comparison, the co-digestion process with food waste proportions
May 5, 2023 · The objective of this work was to determine the potential of chicken manure as a substrate for biogas production after pretreatment. The effects of removing excess nitrogen from chicken manure by water extraction in a temperature range from 20 °C to 60 °C to increase methane production were investigated. The dynamics of the process and efficiency of biogas production were also analyzed. As a
Oct 31, 2020 · The physicochemical compositions of cow manure and sheep manure showed that volatile solid (VS) contents were close to each other in manure compositions (77.6% and 64.7%, respectively), while the potential of methane production from cow manure (673.44 mL CH 4 /g VS) was greater than that from sheep manure (320.32 mL CH 4 /g VS).
Compared to composting, the AD process is considered a promising technique due to its cost-effectiveness in energy recovery, reduced environmental footprint and greenhouse gas emissions, and the production of high-quality value-added products and bio-fertilizers (Yin et al., 2021).
Mar 22, 2023 · Developing new uses and markets for manure may result in both economic and environmental benefits. The ERS report, Increasing the Value of Animal Manure for Farmers (AP-109, March 2023), uses data from the USDA Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS) to describe current manure production, handling, storage, and use.
Manure fermentation is an essential step in this biogas production process that enhances the production of biogas. In this blog post, we will provide an overview of manure fermentation, including the fermentation process, pretreatment , and factors affecting the fermentation process.
Jun 1, 2013 · Previous studies suggested that adapted fermentation of manure is inhabited at a FA of 215 mg/L with 50% inhibition of CH 4 production (El Hadj et al., 2009). However, a high tolerance of 3000 mg/L and 4000 mg/L of FA has also been reported in the thermophilic process by (Angelidaki and Ahring, 1993).
Sep 1, 2021 · In order to explore the effects of adding biochar on biogas production by high solid concentration anaerobic fermentation of livestock and poultry manure and agricultural safety, this study used pig manure, cow manure and chicken manure as fermentation raw materials, and carried out experiments on biogas production by mesophilic temperature anaerobic fermentation with high solid concentration.
Biogas production of Chicken Manure by Two-stage fermentation process Xin Yuan Liu, Jing Jing Wang, Jia Min Nie, Nan Wu, Fang Yang, Ren Jie Yang College of Engineering and Technology, Tianjin Agricultural University, Tianjin 300384, China Abstract. This paper performs a batch experiment for pre-acidification treatment and methane production
Keywords: high-temperature;manure; composting Abstract. High-temperature airtight fermentation technology is the improvement of the traditional fermentation technology, Fermentation involves mixing farm waste and straw in an appropriate proportion, Adjusting the moisture content to meet the appropriate requirements, then Press and add the
Jun 3, 2022 · In this study, of adding value to cow manure were studied. Due to the properties of cow manure, activated carbon with a high surface area can only be produced by increasing the fixed carbon ratio and removing the ash content. Activated carbon was fabricated using five different treatments: (1) raw material–chemical activation, (2) raw material–hydrothermal carbonization–chemical
Apr 1, 2024 · This study aimed to explore the optimal pH condition for VFAs production from sludge and chicken manure co-fermentation through from the measurement of various parameters to the systematic study on the level of microbial and enzyme mechanisms.
